When it comes to quantifying data governance success, metrics can help you establish a baseline, track your progress against goals, align expectations, and even defend change – or additional funding. But while metrics are a good start, as they are necessary to ensure alignment, relevance, and value of your data governance initiative, they are not enough to truly translate data value into business value.
