 nd quality? Blockchain databases based on DLs have the inherent characteris
 tic of immutability, whereby they retain the entire history of data created
  on the blockchain, and at first glance, this would seem to provide perfect
  data lineage and provenance. Then, in combination with smart contracts and
  NFTs, it seems that numerous policy-based data access and audit challenges
  could potentially be resolved.\n\nWe don’t claim to have all the ans
 wers yet, but former Gartner analyst Malcolm Hawker has been thinking about
  these opportunities for a while and has some ideas to discuss with data go
 vernance professionals. This "fireside chat" discussion will posi
