COVID Protocols at DGIQ 2022

Updated on March 31, 2022

Proof of vaccination and/or testing is being verified through the third-party application CLEAR for US attendees and via a different method for international attendees. You should have already received an email from registration@dataversity.net with these instructions. If you have not received this email, please reach out to registration@dataversity.net as soon as possible.

We at DATAVERSITY have evaluated the available COVID-19 health protection protocols very closely, always with the utmost priority on the safety and security of all DGIQ participants. This is why we have made the decision to require one of the following from every attendee upon arrival at the conference: 1) proof of full vaccination OR 2) proof of a negative test taken no more than 72 hours prior to arrival at the conference.

If providing option 1 (proof of vaccination), individuals must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by the start date of the event. For purposes of this Policy, “fully vaccinated” means 14 days have passed since the individual received the second dose of a 2-dose vaccine or the first dose of a single dose vaccine. If providing option 2 (proof of a negative test), it must be a COVID-19 PCR test taken within 3 days (72 hours) of arrival onsite.

Proof of vaccinations will be verified through the third-party application CLEAR for all US Attendees (at no cost to the attendee) and through a different process for International Attendees. Details on this process as well as testing verification will be announced as we get closer to the event dates.

In accordance with current San Diego County guidelines, face coverings (masks) are not required indoors if you are fully vaccinated. If you are not fully vaccinated, masks are required indoors. This policy may be adjusted in accordance with the city, county, or state requirements in effect at the time of the conference. At all times, individuals are welcome to manage their own risk by wearing a mask indoors and/or outdoors.

There is a considerable amount of data that informs this decision, and though we anticipate that this policy may not be popular with everyone, we believe that it is in the best interests of allowing DGIQ participants to attend and network confidently with other attendees, speakers, and sponsors. NOTE: If conditions around COVID-19 change such that stricter protocols are required by any health authority, then we will notify attendees immediately.

Of course, we understand that most people will still have questions, and we are currently preparing an Onsite Policies, Procedures, and Services document to address these. In the meantime, you are welcome to email registration@dataversity.net with any questions you may have.

One important thing to mention is that the Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa is the perfect venue for in-person attendance. The meeting rooms are literally steps away from the beach on Mission Bay, so it’s really easy to step outside for some fresh air. Some of our presentations are actually conducted on paddle steamers moored on the resort docks, so the salt air is constantly circulating. See below or go to https://www.catamaranresort.com/ for more pictures of this idyllic conference venue.
