FAQS + COVID POLICIES
Q. What COVID-19 protocols will be implemented at DGIQ 2022?
A. In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, DATAVERSITY will be requiring one of the following from every attendee upon arrival at the conference: 1) proof of full vaccination OR 2) proof of a negative test taken no more than 72 hours prior to arrival at the conference.
If providing option 1 (proof of vaccination), individuals must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by the start date of the event. For purposes of this Policy, “fully vaccinated” means 14 days have passed since the individual received the second dose of a 2-dose vaccine or the first dose of a single dose vaccine. If providing option 2 (proof of a negative test), it must be a COVID-19 PCR test taken within 3 days (72 hours) of onsite arrival.
For more details, please see our COVID-19 Updates page.
Q. Are face coverings (masks) required?
A. In accordance with current San Diego County guidelines, face coverings (masks) are not required indoors if you are fully vaccinated. If you are not fully vaccinated, masks are required indoors. This policy may be adjusted in accordance with the city, county, or state requirements in effect at the time of the conference. At all times, individuals are welcome to manage their own risk by wearing a mask indoors and/or outdoors.
Q. How will you be verifying proof of vaccination for the event?
A. Proof of vaccination is being verified through the third-party application CLEAR for U.S. attendees (at no cost to the attendee) and via a different method for international attendees. You should have already received an email from registration@dataversity.net with these instructions. If you have not received this email, please reach out to registration@dataversity.net as soon as possible.

Q. What is DGIQ?
A. The Data Governance & Information Quality Conference (DGIQ) is the world’s largest event dedicated entirely to Data Governance and Information Quality. Whether you are a newcomer or an experienced data professional, DGIQ offers practical case studies, advice from experts, and in-depth how-to tutorials.
Q. What makes DGIQ so special?
A. DGIQ is not just a regular business conference – it’s an ongoing community and network of Data Governance and Information Quality professionals. As with all DATAVERSITY conferences, the educational program emphasizes peer-to-peer learning through the sharing of case studies and practical experience. The setting for DGIQ, on the shores of San Diego’s Mission Bay, is a relaxed atmosphere that helps to encourage this culture of sharing and generosity between attendees.
Q. Who attends DGIQ?
A. Good question! In terms of industries, every major sector of the economy is represented, though the largest industry groups are usually from financial services, insurance, health care, online commerce, and government. The range of job titles and functions is also very diverse, including chief data officers, VP and director-level IT executives, data architects, analysts, auditors, and consultants. And increasingly, this DGIQ event attracts managers from “the business side,” who now make up almost 50% of the audience.
Q. How do I get to speak at the conference?
A. Most of the sessions are selected through a Call for Presentations (CFP) process. This process is now closed for 2022, but if you would like to apply to speak in the future, please add your name to our CFP list by emailing speakers@dataversity.net.
Additionally, some sessions such as keynotes and panels are developed through specific invitations to the speakers. There are also some vendor speaking sessions that are identified on the program agenda as “sponsored.”
Q. What if my question wasn't answered above?
A. For registration questions, email registration@dataversity.net. For all other queries, email events@dataversity.net.
